SPECIAL GENERAL MEETING
A Special General meeting of North Queensland Ensembles Inc was held on Tuesday 9 September 2008 at
Sturt Business Centre, 35 Sturt Street Townsville, commencing at 5:30pm.

The purpose of the Meeting was to consider the following recommendation from the Management Committee:

“That the Rules of North Queensland Ensembles Inc be amended at Item 31, (Financial Year) to vary the close of the Financial year from 30 September to 31 December”
THIS CHANGE WAS PASSED and will allow for more effective management of the planning, rehearsal, performance and management processes of the Association.
The capacity to hold the Annual General meeting in late January/early February, (at the end of the holiday season, rather than at its beginning), will allow for a wider participation of members and for a more orderly management of the Membership Renewal process.
A a further motion to allow for the extension of all current Membership to 31 December 2008 was put and also passed.
